The Portascan is a portable area mapping system.
Available with manual or motorised scanners, it captures data as a C-scan area map.
After scanning, data may be viewed as a B-scan slice through the material, a 3-D projection or Zoomed to show individual point readings in a spreadsheet format
The ISONIC 2006 combines all the features of the ISONIC 2005 (Encoded & Timed imaging with A-Scan capture) with the ability to record area scanning, monitor acoustic coupling and probe orientation.
The ISONIC 2006 uses airborne sound to locate and record the probe position, showing the scan coverage without the need of a mechanical scanner.
A coupling signal is generated in the component and monitored through the conventional probes coupling layer to ensure adequate coupling is maintained.
When using angle beam probes, the direction that the probe is pointing is also monitored.
