NDT Systems manufactures an extensive range of Bubbler Style transducers. These transducers provide a minimal beam (spot) size and other benefits of an immersion style transducer, while providing the convienience and mobility of a contact style transducers. Essentially, they are "captive" immersion transducers supporting a captive water path. This permits us to use a very broad range of frequencies (5 MHz to over 30 MHz) and focal characteristics for these transducers. Beam sizes down to 0.020" are possible

Bubblers are frequently used for thickness inspection of components such as turbine blades and wax castings.
