Testing Can Take You Anywhere
The PortaScan is used to detect corrosion on oil platforms in the North Sea, in pipelines and tank farms from Alaska to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, & airplanes from Seattle, Washington to Shanghai, Peoples Republic of China.
Need to test a number of places in hard to get at areas? Easy . The PortaScan Ultrasonic Imaging System can collect data from scanners up to 150' (45m) away using the optioncal 007CCB150 Control Cable Bundle.
Do your tests require both single & dual element transducers. Simple. Just recall the test set-up from the built-in Quantum Ultrasonic Instrument, slip the appropriate transducer and Insert into the holder & begin testing.
Store or retrieve images with header data, and immediately evaluate easy to read "C-Scan", "B-Scan", 3D and spreadsheet displays of actual recorded values. The PortaScan also exports the acquired data in an ASCII format for use in spreadsheets or other evaluation programs.
The PortaScan is best suited for applications where high resolution & high definition are required, such as corrosion / erosion & where raw collected data needs to be imported into other systems.
The PortaScan 007 Ultrasonic Imaging System is perhaps the easiest to use C Scan imaging system available today.
The system incorporates a fully integrated ultrasonic test instrument, dual axis motion control, Pentium based PC, and data acquisition software.
Through years of refinement, NDT Systems has developed a system so easy to use that it does not require the user to be knowledgeable in computer systems operations. So long as the user can calibrate an ultrasonic instrument for a desired test we have done everything possible to simplify the acquisition process.
With our many built in wizards, operation couldn't be easier. For instance, with our "Scan Plan" wizard we walk you through every step of setting up image acquisition. Each screen is another step in the plan building process.
Just plug one end of the integrated Control Cable Bundle into the PortaScan & the other end to any one of a variety of scanners. Turn the unit on; calibrate the embedded, high speed Quantum ultrasonic instrument and start scanning.
It really is that easy.
In 15 to 20 minutes from the time you arrive on site you will be up and running, collecting data. Once a desired plan is in place just save the acquired data, clear scan and re-start... all from the same, simple drop down menu.
